Obituary of Edna V. Copper

Edna V. Copper, age 93, passed away on Saturday, July 1, 2023, at the Arista Care Health Center in Plainfield. Born in Maryland to the late Charles and Mary Goldsborough Copper, Edna had resided and worked in Peapack for over 60 years until her retirement in 2016 when she moved to Fanwood.

Edna was a private chef for a family in Peapack for over 6 decades.

In her spare time, she enjoyed knitting, crossword puzzles, and watching Jeopardy. Most of all, Edna cherished her family dinners every Thursday. She would cook for her whole family and spend all day laughing, catching up, playing cards, and other games.

She is predeceased by her daughter Viola Copper, her grandson Dane Copper and all six of her siblings.

Edna is survived by her granddaughter Robin Copper, four great-grandchildren Kyler, and his wife Rosemary, Dane Jr., Dajuan, and Arianna. She is also survived by four great-great-grandchildren Samantha, Haylee, Brion, and Key’azia.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, July 15, 2023, at Hillside Cemetery, 1401 Woodland Ave. Scotch Plains, NJ.
