We are so shocked to hear of Diane's passing. Though we haven't seen her for many years since we moved to Arizona, we remember her as a lovely young woman. She was always smiling. We grieve for her parents, Diane was their whole life.
"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. She has only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened, Everything remains exactly as it was. The old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name, Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without an effort, without the ghost of a shadow upon it. Life means all that it ever was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is this death but a negligible accident? Why should Diane be out of mind because she is out of sight? She is but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well."
Words cannot express the pain we feel for your loss. Linda and Walter you are in our prayers.

When I think of Diane, I recall warmth, professionalism, commitment, caring, and a wicked sense of humor. I had worked with Diane for 12 years at Interlux and then I had the opportunity for her to join me at Pettit Paint for another 10 years. During those years she was my partner in managing and guiding the sales and marketing departments. She loved the creative challenge of working on advertising.
But what she really cherished was looking out for “her boys” in the sales force!! Every salesperson will tell you that Diane was the one stop, go-to person to get anything done in both those companies. She loved the daily friendly banter with them over the phone and looked forward to annual sales meetings where she could bust their chops in person.
Being a true professional, she was very private about her personal life. She didn’t want anyone to make a fuss about anything referring to her. But she loved to make a fuss about everyone else, Birthday cakes, Anniversaries, kids, etc.
I retired five years ago but would check in periodically with Diane to see how things were going. She never alluded to her health struggles, did not want to burden people with her problems. I was fortunate enough to speak with her 2 months ago, she sounded fine. I wish I had known more. Diane will be sorely missed!

Diane was the most selfless person I've ever met in my life, she had a selfless devotion to taking care of everyone and everything around her. Her laugh was infectious and she always found the positive in every situation, things most people would figure to be impossible to complete, she'd figured out how to do them and then ask for her next project. She was incredibly talented in so many ways.
Diane and I had lunch together almost everyday for the better part of 3+ years. While she kept very private on most matters, there would be times she would slip up and share her passions, one example was "whiskey stepping" where she enjoyed some jager and country line dancing with friends on Friday nights. I would then call every Monday and ask how the "hillbilly trippin" went, I'd then get a very affectionate "shut up" while laughing, then she'd throw the focus back on my weekend and if she could do anything for me for the week. She was always more worried about everyone else more than herself. That quality is so rare and so rewarding to be around.
I know it's cliche to say someone was one in a million, well, Diane was one in a billion. Everyone she encountered, she made them a better person just by being in her proximity and her sharing her positive vibes.
My thoughts and prayer go out to Linda and Walter. Thank you for bringing Diane into the world and sharing her with us.

Diane was an exceptional person. We knew her since she was born. She was the "daughter" we never had. She grew up with our 2 boys & kept them in line. We spent many birthdays, holidays & vacations together with her & her parents, our best friends. She brought so much joy & laughter to us all.
Rest in Peace,
Love,
Tante Karin & Onkel Rudy
