Our condolences to Nancy’s families. Our special thoughts are with all the Remington family. We knew you in many ways through our own kids and through church and have so many wonderful memories of Nancy and her “brood”. Since we are now living in North Myrtle Beach, SC, we won’t be able to attend the service, but we will be there in spirit. May you feel the caring and comforting arms of Jesus around you. With love, Walt and Andi Weening

Nancy and I were friends since grammar school where we were in a group of ten girls who called ourselves the QTs. QTs stood for Quiet Ten, but we were anything but quiet. We would get together at one of our homes and, at that time, our conversations were mostly about boys. This group continued on into high school, even having jackets made with QTs on the back. We attended Irvington High School where Nancy was very interested in music and some sports activities. She was in glee club and played the flute. We continued our friendship after high school on into our adult days and marriage. When the QTs got together at that point, our conversations were about how we took care of our children. Nancy’s family and mine had another love. We would go camping each weekend at a campground in upper New Jersey in Sussex County. Our families became very good friends. As the years went by the families drifted apart, but Nancy and I managed to remain best friends. As we grew older we weren’t able to get to see each other, but we spoke on the phone all the time. My family and I want to send our condolences to Nancy’s whole family. The Charette Family has donated to the Jersey Shore Animal Center in Brick, NJ, in memory of Nancy.

Nancy has always been a very special part of my life...from early on in Irvington at the Remington household, to sharing wonderful days at the beloved Breton Woods beach house. She took riding lessons as a young teen, and I was the lucky receiver of her beautiful riding outfits. I was able to share in the younger days of her family and children by babysitting them, and seeing her often in the church choir that my mother directed.
It was with upmost surprise and delight that I recently discovered that Nancy was my sister-in-law! Knowing this, and reconnecting with the family has been a most amazing, loving revelation. Being able to visit Nancy these last two summers at Chelsea, has completed the circle. We were able to share stories from the past, and laugh at lots of shared memories.
Being able to remember all the wonderful memories of shared times together will help in the difficult days ahead. Nancy will certainly be missed by so many, and her legacy of a strong loving family will continue to bear witness to her faith. With love and prayers xxx Beverly Bernhard
