I met Joyce when I was 19, and she and Albert were dating. We became friends immediately. Who couldn’t? Joyce was always ready for a Saturday night in The City. I cannot remember the many restaurants we visited, and, of course, there was always Ferarra’s for dessert. She was already to help anyone who needed her. Joyce’s first priority was her children. She and Albert taught their children the value and importance of family first, kindness, caring, involvement in the community. She and Albert were always there for my husband (the kid) and for me. Over the years, we became extended family—a family for whom I am forever grateful. Joyce, my family and I will always love and carry you in our hearts.
