What a great tribute. I first met Tommy in his crib on Stiles Rd. Warren. He grew to be a great ambitious man. I knew his grandmother Fox and Aunt Barbara. In my younger years I frequently spent many over nights in their life cabin with Bette Jane and her family Their mother and daddy did a good job bringing them up.

This is how I will remember you Tommy, smiling. Always smiling. So many happy childhood memories, followed by those you created by hosting so many wonderful parties. Generous and kind, you were beloved by your family and friends. I must also mention that my dad thought the world of you, and you were so good to him, treating him to some fantastic experiences that he so enjoyed and never forgot. For that, I am so very thankful, and in that spirit of gratitude, your memory will remain forever as beautiful as that smile. RIP cousin Tommy.

My condolences to all his family and friends. Tom and I became friends when he was just starting his tree service. I think it was around 1978. He and I were always driving around Warren in his truck. I had the good fortune of the state of New Jersey giving me a license that said I was 18. We were stopping at Bill’s Corral on a regular basis. Thursdays they got their deliveries and Tom was always reminding me to ask for the cold ones.
One day, Tom hired me to help with a tree on Olsen Lane. Somehow he got his truck onto the families tennis court. I tied a 13 ton braided (rusty) cable around a really big tree. I was supposed to cut it down while he pulled it with his truck. When tree started falling, he destroyed the tennis court with his tires burning the paint off. When tree hit the ground it bounced. It must’ve pulled the truck backwards at least 5 feet. The cable snapped and Tom was somewhere up on the dashboard.
I have a lot of great memories with Tom. The Gran Torino tire coming off and passing us on the road. Camping along the Delaware River. And of course, the infamous Twin Oaks Motel towel rack incident. I am so sad that when I came back to visit New Jersey, I only got to see him once. It was twenty-five years ago and my wife still remembers him from that one night. He will be missed.
