Anthony, you were more than a best friend, you were a brother to me, as you were to many people, that's how much of an impact you had on other people's lives. You accomplished more in 18 years than most people could accomplish in a lifetime; you lived life to the fullest everyday and always had a smile on your face and could brighten anyone's day in an instant. I will never forget the numerous awesome times we had together. It's just now hitting me that I'll never be able to see you again, in this life that is. It will take a lifetime to overcome this tragedy. You had such a bright future ahead and didn't deserve this, no one deserves to go like this. I really wish I had gotten to see you more often after you guys moved to NJ, but hey, that's life. You changed my life for forever, you were always there for me when I needed you most. I will never forget the impact you had on my life; I'll think about youeveryday for the rest of my life. You may be gone, but you will still be living through my heart and many other people's hearts. I know I'll see you again one day. I just wish I didn't have to wait this long. It's only been about a week and I miss you to the moon and back, we all do. Mr. Paul, mrs. Laura, Nina, and all of Anthony's friends and family, you are all in my thoughts and prayers. In the future, I will make sure to tell many people of the wonderful story of Anthony Paul Mascia. I love you Anthony, and always will.

Anthony may have been with us just a short time, but God made sure that he was loved enough for ten lifetimes. He brought so much love into so many people's lives. I will always miss my precious "grandson". He will always be "my Anthony".

Paul and Laura,
We are stricken with sadness over your loss. Anthony was a remarkable young man and I know how proud both of you are of him. I can remember his bright eyes and friendly smile as a young boy here in Raleigh. The first time he crossed the bay by himself at Pirate's Cove. My heart is broken for you as parents and I pray that God gives you peace somehow. We cannot know why God allows these things to happen, but Anthony's memory with live in the hearts of all those who knew him. My condolences and prayers are with you.
