Obituary of Anthony Paul Mascia
Anthony Paul Mascia, age 18, passed away on Thursday, October 9, 2014. Born in Rahway, NJ, Anthony was raised in Raleigh, NC and has resided in Martinsville since 2012.
Anthony was a 2014 graduate of Watchung Hills Regional High School and was a student at Raritan Valley Community College.
He traveled around the country playing hockey for the North Carolina Junior Hurricanes and was on the Dunellen Penguins. He was the Watchung Hills High School Ice Hockey teams' MVP.
Anthony loved family, hockey, off shore fishing and super cars.
He is predeceased by his maternal grandfather, John Silvia; his paternal grandparents, Anthony, Sr. and Catherine Mascia; his uncle's, Glenn Petersen and Albert Pasquali; and his aunt, Willa Pasquali.
He is survived by his beloved parents, Paul and Laura Mascia and his sister, Nicolina; his maternal grandmother, Diana Silvia, his maternal aunts; Mary Petersen and her children, Kyle, Megan and Chris; Aunt Karen Morrison and her children, Nicole, Stephen and David; Aunt Ella McLaughlin and her daughter, Tiffany, and cousin, Jaclyn Hales; his paternal aunts and uncles; Uncle Anthony Mascia and Susan and daughter, Kristi, Uncle Tommy and his wife, Sharon and children, Robert and wife, Brooke, Shannon, Christie and great cousins, Danny and Aidan, Aunt RoseAnn and husband, Jimmy and daughter, Gina, Aunt Mary Ann and children, Melissa and Michael and her late husband, Uncle Froilan Dizon; special family friends, Donna and Stephen Mariani and children, Andrew and Jason, Krista and Jeff Miller and children, Ryan and Emma, Doug and Donna Milner and children, Blake, Liz and her husband, Jamie, his beloved girlfriend, Lauren and good friend, Kevin.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12, 2014 from 4-8 p.m. and Monday, October 13th from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at Higgins Home For Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd., Watchung. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 14 at 9:00 a.m. at the funeral home followed by a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Resurrection at Our Lady of the Mount Church, 167 Mt. Bethel Rd., Warren. Committal prayers to follow at Somerset Hills Memorial Park, Basking Ridge.
