Eileen Paparteys

Obituary of Eileen Paparteys

Eileen Paparteys, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away peacefully at her home in Warren, New Jersey, on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, at the age of 81.

Born and raised in Jersey City, Eileen spent her early years in the close-knit community before briefly moving to Towaco, New Jersey. She settled in Warren over 50 years ago, where she and her husband, Frank, built a loving home and raised their family.

Eileen worked as an executive secretary for Daido Corporation in Manhattan and North Bergen for more than a decade before dedicating herself to raising her family.

She was a former member of Our Lady of the Mount RC Church in Warren, where she nurtured faith, taught CCD, and forged lasting friendships.

Whether a perfect game in the league at Strike 'n Spare, hitting winners at Round Top Swim and Tennis Club or the Warren Racquet Club, leading in a humorous game of Scrabble, taking a stand against local government, dancing at parties, weddings, and anywhere in between or sledding down Fox Hill Dr W, Eileen's spirited nature shone through in everything she did.

She loved to travel and often spoke about the unmatched beauty she experienced in Hawaii, Japan, and her favorite, the Grand Tetons.

Known for her calming warmth and hospitality, Eileen cherished family traditions, which she upheld through every holiday and gathering. Her Polish heritage deeply influenced her role as the heart of all family celebrations which she hosted often with charm, pride and dedication. Eileen was an excellent cook and enjoyed trying new recipes, eventually teaching Frank how to do it all.

Eileen loved to tell jokes and brought fun and laughter to every occasion, creating an atmosphere filled with joy and amusement. Her legacy of love and tradition will be fondly remembered by her family, and these cherished traditions will be carried on in her honor.

Eileen is survived by her devoted husband of 62 years, Frank; her children, Christopher, Jennifer, and her husband, Dennis; and her cherished grandchildren, Molly, Andrew, Harrison, and Bennett; nephews Danny, Jason, and his wife Liz; and grandnieces and grandnephews Danielle, Warren, Isaac, Elliot, Ella and Nathan.  She was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Sophia Kaleita; sister, Eleanora Fell and brother-in-law Bill; sister, Lorraine Ciniglio and brother-in-law Ralph; and daughter-in-law, Christine.

Eileen will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all those touched by her kindness, humor, and dedication to her family. Her memory will continue to inspire and warm the hearts of those who loved her.

Cremation services were held privately.

Memorial donations may be made in her loving memory to St. Jude's Children's Hospital or the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.
