Obituary of Elaine Mary Potomski

Livingston: Elaine Mary Potomski, age 44, died on Tuesday, February 10th at St. Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston. Ms. Potomski was born in Newark and lived in North Plainfield her entire life. For the past 18 years, Ms. Potomski worked at Schering Plough in Kenilworth, with the last seven years in the position as a Regulatory Affairs Manager. She graduated from Rutgers University in New Brunswick with a BS in chemistry. She also did graduate studies at Rutgers focusing in Quantum Physics. Ms. Potomski played classical violin and enjoyed hiking and bird watching. She loved all animals, especially her cat, Ollie and her dog, Dolly. She is predeceased her her parents, Bronislaus Potomski and Charlotte Burghardt. Surviving are her husband, Andrew Moon of North Plainfield; her sister Carol Ann Potomski of Somerset; her aunt, Dolores Harmer of Florida; her uncles John Potomski of Florida and Stan Grabowy of Short Hills and many friends. Funeral services will be held at 8:00 am on Saturday, February 14th, from Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset St., North Plainfield followed by a 9:00 am Funeral Mass at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, 1020 West 7th Street, Plainfield. Entombment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Visitation will be on Friday, February 13th from 2-4 & 7-9 at the funeral home
