I was stunned and saddened to hear of Pete's passing. Pete and I coached the Marlins rec soccer team together and I have fond memories of standing with Pete watching our little guys play. When Pete moved to the traveling league, there wasn't a practice or game he wasn't missed. We had often exchanged emails about soccer, computer problems or just to pass along a joke. My deepest sympathy to his family.

I would like to send my condolences to the Martin family. You all have my deepest sympathy. I knew Pete for a little over a year and he was one of the kindest men I have ever had the pleasure to know. If I didn't have it, Pete found a way to try to get it for me. I knew he was sick, but never in my wildest dreams did I think that he would leave this earth so soon. I have thought about Pete for the last 2 months and I will continiue to think about him until my own last breaths. I will always cherish the memory of knowing Peter Martin

Faythe,
I am sorry for the loss of your husband. I am not sure you remember me or not. We played Softball together years ago for Morristown's First Ward. I knew Peter through Rick Zenowicz from a few years prior.
The last time I saw Peter was at an Excel class we took at Bell Labs in Whippany. We enjoyed catching up and he had told me that you both were will and had 2 wonderful children. We actually found out that we were passing each other in Harding on our ways to work. I was working Basking Ridge at the time, He had some kind of sign or lights for the Fire Dept on his vehichle so he was easy to spot. We would wave to each other. We exchanged e-mail and voice numbers at work but never did get around to calling each other. I was so sorry to hear about Peter's death. I had no idea that he was even sick. I will remember him as a really nice guy and so pleasant and happy. If there is anything I can do for you please let me know. Again, I am sorry and know you are in my thoughts and prayers.
