Joe was a warm, friendly person who I knew via working @ Becker's Parent Teacher Store...he and Steve always made it pleasant to converse and visit...very passionate about his family's well being, always quick with a quip or smile, it seems Joe lived a very fulfilled life...my condolences to his family--may the Lord smile upon him and them always...

Dear Mr. & Mrs. Pepe & Family,
I am stunned by the news of Joe’s sudden death, and am grateful to have shared an incredible amount of memorable experiences with Joe, growing up in Springfield. Joe’s combination of tenderness and competitiveness was a lifelong influence on me and others who interacted with him in school, in the community, and on the sports fields. I’ll never forget the many first down passes I caught from him, or the number of passes I made to him for easy lay-ups. Those were great times, and times which were made much better because of Joe’s presence. Jessie and I extend our deepest sympathy to you, Steven, Danny, and Susan.
Sincerely,
Bill Palazzi
