Obituary of Marie Staib

Marie B. (Birch) Staib, age 86, died on Thursday, September 2, 2004 at her home in North Plainfield. Born in Union, she lived there until moving to North Plainfield in 1950. Prior to her retirement in 1974, Mrs. Staib was a bookkeeper for S.S. Kresge in Plainfield for 18 years. She is predeceased by her husband, Edward Albert Staib in 2003. Surviving are her sons, Edward A. Staib, Jr. and his wife Jan, Ken Staib and his wife Patricia of North Plainfield and a daughter, Ann Marie Medina and her husband Cliff J. of North Plainfield; her brother, George Birch of Indio, CA; her grandchildren, Elizabeth M. Staib, Kenneth A. Staib, Jr., Thomas J. Staib, Michael S. Medina and Christopher J. Medina and her great-grandchild, Kevin Staib. Visitation will be on Tuesday, September 7, 2004 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 461 Somerset Street, North Plainfield. Funeral services will be private.
