Obituary of Kenneth J. Wangler

Kenneth J. Wangler, age 56, died on Sunday, September 12, 2004 at his home in Green Brook. He was born in Bayonne, raised in Lynhurst and had lived in Rutherford before moving to Green Brook over 22 years ago. Mr. Wangler graduated from Lynhurst High School in 1965. He received his bachelors and MBA degrees from Fairleigh Dickinson University. He also played on the basketball team while attending college. He was a member of the Army Reserve from 1969 to 1981. He was a Cash Management Consultant for Public Service Electric and Gas Company in Newark, for the Treasury Department. Mr. Wangler served on the Zoning Board and the Board of Education for Green Brook and served as president on both . He was also the Green Brook representative for the Watchung Hills Regional High School. He is survived by his wife, Stella Candiloros Wangler; his daughter Stephanie Wangler; his son Gregory Wangler; and his sister Ilona Alai Wangler. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 16th at 10:00 a.m. at Higgins Home for Funerals, 752 Mountain Blvd. Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
